The Regional Vibrant Summit has commenced in Vadodara with the aim of giving a new impetus to industrial development in Central Gujarat. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated this high-profile summit by lighting a lamp.
Following successful summits held in Mehsana, Rajkot, and Surat, this event is now taking place in Vadodara, a major industrial center in Central Gujarat. During the summit, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel made a significant announcement for the industrial sector by declaring the development of 8 new smart GIDCs in the state. These smart industrial areas will be developed over a total of 3,671 acres of land.
The goal is to attract new investments and increase employment opportunities for youth through these GIDCs equipped with modern facilities and world-class infrastructure. The Chief Minister stated that plans for the future must be prepared today, keeping in mind the changing needs of the times. He mentioned that due to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat has established a new identity in the field of industrial development.
He noted that over 13 lakh crore rupees in MOUs have been signed through the Vibrant Gujarat Summit so far. Gujarat's identity, which was once that of a trading state, is now being established as the 'Global Gateway of Future.' He also referred to Prime Minister Modi's mantra of 'Local to Vocal and Vocal to Global.' The summit in Vadodara saw the participation of diplomatic representatives from 7 countries, including the USA, Japan, Ukraine, and Ireland, as well as industrialists from various multinational companies. The presence of foreign representatives reflects Gujarat's growing acceptance among global investors.
The summit featured special discussions on the new industrial policy 2026, investment opportunities, and the industrial expansion of Central Gujarat. The state government's objective through this event is to provide new direction to industries and further strengthen Gujarat as a global industrial hub.
