Celebration of 12th International Yoga Day at Vadodara Division
The 12th International Yoga Day was celebrated enthusiastically at the Vadodara division of Western Railway. As per the guidelines received from the Ministry of AYUSH, a yoga session was organized on the theme 'Yoga for Healthy Ageing'.
The yoga session took place at the railway auditorium in Pratapnagar from 6:00 AM to 7:50 AM, starting with the national song Vande Mataram. Under the guidance of renowned yoga instructors from Vadodara, Mrs. Krishna Patel and Kumari Khushi Patel, along with their team, various yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation practices were conducted for railway officials, employees, and their families as per the common yoga protocol set by the Ministry of AYUSH. On this occasion, the Divisional Railway Manager of Vadodara, Raju Bhadke, stated that yoga is essential for our physical, mental, and spiritual cleanliness.
It is necessary to incorporate this invaluable ancient cultural heritage of India into our daily lives. Yoga leads us from stress and negativity to creativity and a stress-free life, generating new possibilities and energy in life. He emphasized that not only should railway employees adopt yoga in their daily lives, but they should also inspire their family members to do so, so that everyone can remain physically and mentally healthy.
The collective yoga practice event was attended by Divisional Railway Manager Raju Bhadke, Chairperson of the Western Railway Women's Welfare Organization Vadodara Division, Dr. Kavita Bhadke, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Avinash Kumar, senior officials from various departments, other members of the organization, Railway Protection Force, and a large number of railway employees, officials, and their families. Senior Personnel Officer Avinash Kumar and his welfare team played a significant role in the successful organization of the event. The program concluded with the national anthem.
