Surat: Dahyabhai Desai, a 71-year-old heart disease patient, was airlifted from Surat to a private hospital in Mumbai this morning. Initially on a ventilator in a Surat hospital, Dahyabhai required immediate advanced treatment available only in Mumbai.

Gujarat’s 108 ambulance service, renowned for timely patient transportation, facilitated this critical transfer. Dahyabhai’s son requested the air ambulance, and the 108 staff promptly completed all necessary procedures. He was first admitted to Sunshine Global Hospital in Surat and then safely flown to Mumbai.
