The body of a 34-year-old youth, Mahendra Sharma, was found in the drain behind Lakshminarayan Industrial Gate No. 2 near Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple in Surat's Udhna area. Sharma was a supervisor at an embroidery factory for the past four months and lived on the second floor above the account.
After receiving information about the missing body of the youth, the Udhna police reached the spot and began investigating the matter. They found injury marks on Sharma's neck, suggesting that he was attacked with a sharp weapon.
ACP Chirag Patel said that Sharma lived in a room above the account, and there were many people living around it. The police believe that he was attacked during a fight with someone and then thrown from the third floor of the building.
