Surat. A delegation from the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCCI), led by President Ashok Jirawala, visited Surat Airport.

During this visit, the need to prioritize local industries and vendors in the airport development works was emphasized, stating that this would not only encourage local industries but also help in completing the development works in a timely manner. Sharma and included Chamber Vice President Ravi Raj Desai, Honorary Secretary Paresh Lathia, Honorary Treasurer Atul Patel, Aviation and Airport Committee Advisor Manoj Singapuri, Committee Chairman Linesh Shah, and other members. He suggested that local vendors be given opportunities in tenders and projects related to airport development, which would promote regional industries and ensure effective implementation of the projects. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on topics such as the expansion of Surat Airport, improvement of passenger facilities, the introduction of new flights, and strengthening air connectivity in the future.

The Chamber delegation appreciated the efforts being made for the modernization and expansion of the airport. Meanwhile, the airport administration and the Chamber agreed to work together in the future to develop Surat as a strong air connectivity hub.
