He stated that he was honoring Theodore Roosevelt, whom he has praised for a long time, mentioning that he rarely praises anyone but Roosevelt is one of them. Trump attended the inauguration ceremony of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in Medora, becoming the first sitting president to participate in the library's inauguration. During the event, he presented a Congressional Medal of Honor awarded to Theodore Roosevelt from the Roosevelt Room in the White House to the library, which was considered the most emotional and historic moment of the ceremony.
Doug Burgum, the host and U.S. Secretary of the Interior, described Trump's presence as a 'historic moment' and noted that visitors to the library would be able to hear a recorded excerpt of Roosevelt's famous speech 'Man in the Arena' in Trump's voice when the library officially opens to the public. Trump also praised the new library, calling it a 'great museum, wonderful library, and excellent center' that will become a very special place in the future. He expressed confidence that it would be very successful.
The White House, however, did not share any additional technical details about the new Air Force One aircraft mentioned by Trump in his speech. Nevertheless, Trump made it clear that this flight was one of the most significant achievements of the trip.
