In light of passenger convenience and the increasing travel demand during the summer season, Western Railway has announced the operation of an AC Superfast weekly special train between Vatva and Mumbai Central. This train will operate at special fares.
According to a release by Public Relations Officer Anubhav Saxena, train number 09082 Vatva–Mumbai Central AC Superfast Special will depart from Vatva every Friday at 10:40 PM and arrive at Mumbai Central the next day at 7:10 AM. This service will be available from May 8, 2026, to June 26, 2026. Meanwhile, train number 09081 Mumbai Central–Vatva Special will depart from Mumbai Central every Thursday at 11:20 PM and reach Vatva the next day at 7:20 AM.
This train will operate from May 7, 2026, to June 25, 2026. The train will stop at Vadodara, Surat, Vapi, and Borivali stations in both directions. AC 3-tier coaches will be available for passengers.
According to railway administration, ticket booking for trains 09081 and 09082 will start on May 3, 2026, at all PRS counters and on the IRCTC website. Passengers are advised to check the railway's official website for detailed information regarding train timings, stops, and structure.
