The Fire Service Week at NTPC Kawas successfully concluded on April 20, 2026. Project Head Shrikant Kerhalakar was present as the chief guest, along with Neeta Kerhalakar, president of the Swati Women's Association, K.P.S.
Saini, Deputy Commandant of the Central Industrial Security Force Unit KGP, Fire Assistant Commandant Prabhu Prasad, and all department heads, officers, and employees. During the Fire Service Week, various activities, competitions, and mock drills were organized in the plant and township premises. The main objective of these programs was to raise fire safety awareness among employees and their families.
During the closing ceremony, a comprehensive fire drill was demonstrated, showcasing various techniques for controlling and extinguishing fires in LPG, cable galleries, power transformers, and naphtha tanks. This exercise highlighted the coordination of safety, courage, and technical proficiency, further strengthening preparedness for emergency situations. Through this event, NTPC Kawas reiterated its commitment to fire safety and conveyed a message of vigilance and readiness among employees.
