All India RPF Badminton Championship Begins in Vadodara

The 41st All India Railway Protection Force (RPF) Badminton Championship 2025 is being hosted by the Vadodara Division of Western Railway at the Vadodara Sports Complex in Waghodia. The tournament, which will continue until November 12, 2025, was inaugurated by Raju Bhadke, Divisional Railway Manager of the Vadodara Division, who graced the ceremony as the chief guest.

As per agency report, addressing the players during the opening ceremony, Divisional Railway Manager Raju Bhadke extended his best wishes and encouraged all participants to play with sportsmanship, discipline, and mutual respect. He urged them to uphold the honour of the Railway Protection Force through their performance and commitment. He further announced that the winning team of this year’s championship would earn the privilege of representing RPF at the upcoming All India Police Meet Badminton Championship, to be held in West Bengal.

Francis Lobo, Senior Divisional Security Commissioner and Organizing Secretary of the event, expressed his pride in hosting this prestigious championship. He emphasized that sports are an integral part of life, contributing not only to physical fitness but also to mental strength and team spirit.

This year’s tournament has drawn participation from 16 zonal railways, featuring a total of 135 players, including 8 gazetted officers, 21 women players, and 106 other participants. The matches will continue till November 12, marking a week of competitive and spirited play among RPF personnel from across the country.
