Vadodara education authorities hold school safety meeting after Ahmedabad incident

Vadodara, August – In the wake of a violent incident at an Ahmedabad school that led to the death of a student, the Vadodara city and district education offices organized a “School Safety Review Meeting” to strengthen security measures and prevent such tragedies in the future. The meeting was held at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Hall on Ajwa Road at 1 pm.

Police Commissioner Narasimha Komar, Additional Police Commissioner, Superintendent of Police Dr. Leena Patil, and District Education Officer Mahesh Pandey were among the key officials present. They addressed school trustees, principals, administrators, and other stakeholders, offering essential guidance on enhancing student safety.

As per report, the discussions emphasized several precautionary steps, including the installation of sufficient CCTV cameras in school premises, regular counseling sessions for students, strict monitoring at entry and exit points, verification of bus and rickshaw drivers, and promoting open communication among students to resolve disputes at an early stage.

The meeting saw active participation from trustees and principals of various schools, school bus and rickshaw drivers, representatives of security agencies, and members of school management committees. Officials called on all stakeholders to work collectively to ensure a safe, disciplined, and sensitive educational environment for children.
