Agarwal Vikas Trust Mahila Shakha Celebrates 'Runak Jhunk Gangaour' Festival with Grandeur
The Agarwal Vikas Trust Mahila Shakha organized a grand celebration of the "Runak Jhunk Gangaour" festival on Thursday at the Dwarka Hall of Maharaja Agrasen Palace in Citylight. The event, which began at 2 PM, was attended by over 400 women dressed in traditional attire, adding a cultural charm to the occasion.
The event was led by Mahila Shakha President Sonia Goyal, who highlighted that Gangaour was celebrated in a unique and festive manner. The entire hall was decorated in a traditional style, creating an ambiance of devotion and festivity. The celebration included the ceremonial Gaur-Bindora procession, followed by a live tableau depicting Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
For entertainment, a series of engaging activities such as a fashion show, dance performances, comedy skits, and interactive games were organized. Women also performed folk dances on traditional Gangaour songs, enhancing the festive spirit.
The event witnessed the presence of several prominent members of the Mahila Shakha, including Saroj Agarwal, Ruchika Rungta, Seema Kokda, Preeti Goyal, Shalini Chaudhary, Sunita Jalan, Aruna Agarwal, Leena Chaudhary, and Seema Bhageria. The celebration not only upheld the rich cultural heritage of Gangaour but also fostered a sense of community and togetherness among the attendees.
