Fifth FAB Show 2025 Concludes Successfully, Surat Shines on National Stage
Surat, April 25 – The fifth edition of the FAB Show 2025, organized by the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), concluded with remarkable success at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Goregaon, Mumbai. With participation from over 250 exhibitors, more than 12,000 trade visitors, and representatives from 19 industry organizations across the country, the event marked a significant milestone in the history of India's textile and allied industries.
Spread across nearly 200,000 square feet, this year’s FAB Show became the largest fabric-focused exhibition in India. Gujarat, and particularly Surat’s textile industry, made a significant impact during the event. The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) set up a special 'Surat Pavilion,' where more than 50 textile and accessory manufacturers from Surat showcased their latest products and designs.
Entrepreneurs from Surat impressed visitors with innovations in digital fabric technology, printing, embroidery, and eco-friendly materials. As per agency report, CMAI Gujarat Regional Chairman Ajay Bhattacharya emphasized that FAB Show 2025 provided Surat’s textile industry with a unique national recognition.
The inaugural ceremony of the show was graced by India’s Minister of Textiles, Sanjay Savkare. This year, Chhattisgarh was presented as the "Partner State," and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between CMAI and the Chhattisgarh government to establish a CMAI facilitation center in the state. On the third day of the event, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Vishnu Deo Sai, also attended the program, further highlighting the growing collaboration between industry and government.
Throughout the event, several insightful sessions were organized on critical topics such as artificial intelligence, textile waste management, branding, and changes in the supply chain, offering valuable knowledge to participants and exhibitors alike.
The successful management of the program was credited to CMAI President Santosh Kataria, mentor Rahul Mehta, General Secretary and FAB Show Chairman Naveen Sayani, Treasurer Paresh Vora, and Joint Secretary Mukesh Jain.
During the closing ceremony, Ajay Bhattacharya remarked that FAB Show 2025 had firmly established India, and especially Surat, as a powerful and reliable global hub for fabric sourcing, showcasing the city’s growing influence in the international textile industry.
