Surat Textile Market Gains Momentum Post-Diwali with Promising Demand

Surat – Following the Diwali festivities, Surat’s textile market is gradually regaining its pace, with new orders beginning to flow in. C.K. Mania, head of the Rapier Jacquard Association of Surat, shared that orders have started coming in over the past week. “This year, the wedding season is performing well, and with the Pongal festival in South India on January 14, nylon traders can expect a significant surge in demand in the coming days,” Mania said.

According to Mania, traders from various states have started visiting Surat’s markets to place orders, either directly at the factories or through mobile and WhatsApp platforms. Orders for sarees and dupattas are particularly seeing a rise as the wedding and festival seasons drive demand.

The post-Diwali surge in the Surat textile market has brought renewed energy to the sector. Shops opened on time this year, and robust economic activity is evident across all markets. From traders to weavers, everyone is experiencing a steady flow of work. Mania emphasized, “This year has been exceptional for all textile markets, with both traders and weavers performing well. The positive momentum continues.”

The promising outlook signals a bright phase for Surat’s textile industry, fostering growth across various segments.
