Luxury Bus Accident in Surat: One Dead, Four Injured as Uncontrolled Bus Hits 8 Vehicles

Surat: A tragic accident occurred near the Kamrej Toll Plaza in Surat on Friday morning when a private luxury bus lost control and collided with eight vehicles. The incident resulted in the death of one person, while four others sustained injuries. The police have arrested the bus driver.

The luxury bus, operated by Kanaiya Travels, was traveling from Gundar via Jamnagar towards Surat when it went out of control, crashing into multiple small and large vehicles before hitting the roadside railing. One driver lost his life in the collision, and four others were injured. The injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. 

Following the accident, local residents pulled the bus driver out of the vehicle and reportedly assaulted him, suspecting that he was driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver was later handed over to the police for further investigation.

Eyewitness Ketanbhai stated, "The bus driver was speeding without applying brakes, and in the process, hit several vehicles on the road. I saw a man die in front of me, and two women who were injured had their legs broken." 

The police are conducting further investigations into the accident.
