Western Railway Honors 7 Employees for Safety Excellence

Ahmedabad – In a ceremony held at the Western Railway Head Office in Churchgate, General Manager Ashok Kumar Mishra honored seven employees for their exceptional performance in maintaining safe train operations. These employees, who displayed remarkable vigilance in duty during April and May 2024, were recognized for their contributions in preventing untoward incidents.

Among the honored employees, two were from the Mumbai Central Division, two from the Vadodara Division, and one each from the Ahmedabad, Ratlam, and Bhavnagar Divisions.

According to a press release issued by the Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek, Mishra praised the dedication and alertness of the employees, describing them as exemplary role models. Their commitment to safety included tasks such as detecting rail and track fractures, applying emergency brakes, extinguishing coach fires, addressing brake binding issues, and identifying hanging objects.

"Their prompt actions and alertness have significantly contributed to preventing accidents, and Western Railway is proud of these award-winning employees," stated Abhishek. The honored employees' dedication to safety underscores Western Railway's commitment to ensuring the safety of its operations and passengers.
