Modi signs Kisan Samman Nidhi file after taking charge as PM

New Delhi, June 10 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi signed the file related to the release of the 17th installment of 'PM Kisan Samman Nidhi' to the farmers as soon as he took charge of his third term on Monday. This will benefit 9.3 crore farmers and about ?20,000 cr is being distributed directly to the accounts of the beneficiaries.

After signing the file, Prime Minister Modi said that our government is fully committed to farmer welfare. Therefore, it is appropriate that the first file signed as soon as we take charge should be related to farmer welfare. We want to keep doing more work for farmers and the agriculture sector in the coming time.

Minister Amit Shah in the Modi government said that in the 16 installments of this scheme to help farmers so far, more than ?3 lakh crore has been distributed to more than 12.33 crore beneficiaries under the Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme. This decision shows that the interest of farmers is one of the top priorities for the NDA government. He expresses his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of crores of farmers of the country for this welfare decision.
