Just before entering the polling booth, he autographed a portrait held by Siya Patel, a young girl standing outside. Modi appeared cheerful, wearing a saffron coat. After voting, he waved to children and signed autographs for others, displaying a jovial mood. A crowd gathered to witness him vote, and amid tight security, Modi walked to the polling station from a short distance away.

Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had visited the polling booth, waiting for Modi's arrival. Modi had arrived in Ahmedabad the previous day and stayed at Raj Bhavan before casting his vote.
