A brazen theft took place in broad daylight at Vastu Luxuria Apartment on Dumas Road, Surat, where unidentified thieves targeted a locked flat and made off with gold, silver, and cash worth Rs 8.94 lakh. The incident came to light on Monday when flat owner Priyankaben Dharmeshbhai Kothari returned home to find her belongings missing.

The thieves gained entry by breaking the glass of the attached bathroom window on the first floor of the flat. They then proceeded to steal gold jewellery, including a bracelet, chain, and diamond ring, along with Rs 10,000 in cash, all of which were stored in Priyankaben's bedroom drawer.

Priyankaben discovered the theft upon returning home in the evening and promptly reported the incident to the Umra police. Police officials arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. CCTV footage from the vicinity is being scrutinized to identify the culprits.

Umra police have registered a case of theft against the unknown perpetrators based on Priyankaben's complaint. Efforts are underway to apprehend the thieves and recover the stolen items. Residents of Vastu Luxuria Apartment and surrounding areas are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
