Teenager Behind Rs 8.84 Lakh Theft in Surat's Vastu Luxuria Apartment

Surat police solve theft of Rs 8.84 lakh from closed flat in Vastu Luxuria apartment, arresting a 13-year-old teenager. The thief entered through a bathroom window, stealing jewelry and cash. CCTV and FSL investigations initially found no suspects, but footprints led to the teenager, who later confessed.

Surat's Vastu Luxuria  aparrtment was recently rocked by a daylight theft of Rs 8.84 lakh from a closed flat, with the surprising revelation that the perpetrator was a mere 13-year-old teenager. The incident, which occurred on April 26, saw the thief enter the home of Dharmesh Kothari, a copper wire business owner, through a bathroom window. The thief then proceeded to steal jewelry and cash, leaving the bedroom in disarray.

The police swiftly launched an investigation, examining CCTV footage and conducting forensic investigations, but initially found no leads. However, the forensic team discovered footprints in the bathroom, indicating the involvement of a young person. Subsequent interrogation led to the detention of a 13-year-old servant working in a textile merchant's house on the third floor of the building. Despite initially denying involvement, the teenager eventually confessed to the theft and provided details of the crime, including how he accessed the flat through the drainage pipe.

The police have recovered the stolen goods and are continuing their investigation into the incident.
