In the late hours of the night, a fire broke out in a shop located on the ground floor of Manusmriti Apartment in Surat's Rani Talav area. The smoke from the fire trapped ten people on the second and third floor of the apartment building. The fire department was immediately notified and three fire station teams rushed to the scene to control the fire and evacuate the trapped individuals.
Thanks to the quick response from the fire department, all ten individuals were safely rescued from the building. The fire was brought under control after two and a half hours of intense work from the fire brigade. The rescued individuals included Kailasben, Govardhanbhai, Varshaben, Naseemben, Aashna, Sara, Sheikh Mustaq and Muskan.
The shop where the fire broke out was a wholesale trader of soap, detergent powder, mouth wash, and other products. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, but it is a relief that all individuals involved are safe. The Surat fire department should be commended for their swift response and successful rescue operation.
