Tragedy on Tracks: Two Surat Schoolboys Found Dead, Families Grapple with Loss

Surat: A pall of grief has descended upon two families in Sachin, Surat, after their Class 8 children were found dead on the railway tracks on Sunday afternoon. The incident has raised concerns about safety around railway lines and the dangers children face while playing unsupervised.

Lokesh Santosh Yadav (14) and Prince Rajeshwar Sharma (13), classmates and neighbors, had apparently left their homes to play around 4 pm on Sunday. Hours later, their bodies were discovered near the Sachin railway tracks, bearing serious injuries that suggested they may have been hit by a train.

Lokesh's father, a loom artisan, and Prince's father, a carpenter currently working in Dubai, were informed of the tragedy and rushed back to Surat. Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the incident, but initial reports suggest that the boys were playing on the tracks when they were struck by a train.

The news of the double tragedy sent shockwaves through the community. Both Lokesh and Prince were described as bright and friendly boys, their sudden loss leaving an immense void in their families and school.

This incident underscores the urgent need for enhanced safety measures around railway tracks, particularly in areas frequented by children. Additionally, it raises the importance of parental supervision and the need for frequent safety awareness talks with children about the dangers of playing near hazardous zones.

As the investigation continues, the families of Lokesh and Prince grapple with the unimaginable pain of losing their beloved sons. The entire community stands united in offering support and prayers during this difficult time.
