In the election for the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce, which is well-known in the city's business and industrial sector, Ravi Raj Desai achieved a remarkable victory with a significant majority. His opponent Nitin Bharucha faced a crushing defeat, and his security deposit was also forfeited.
A total of 2505 votes were cast in the election, of which 18 votes were declared invalid. In the counting of 2486 valid votes, Ravi Raj Desai received 1887 votes, while Nitin Bharucha managed only 599 votes. Following this victory by a large margin, there was extensive discussion in the business community regarding Ravi Raj Desai's support.
According to sources, prior to the election, various names were discussed among several prominent members for the Vice President position. Attempts were made to reach a consensus on the names of Nitin Bharucha and Navalohiya, but ultimately, Ravi Raj Desai's name was approved as the acceptable candidate by all parties.
