Surat Municipal Corporation starts emergency control room to monitor COVID-19 and seasonal flu-H3N2

Surat Municipal Corporation has set up a central emergency control room to monitor the situation of COVID-19 and seasonal flu-H3N2 in the city.

The control room has been set up at the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) with ten municipality staff and two doctors to monitor cases of corona, seasonal flu, and H3N2. The health system of Surat Municipal Corporation has been put on alert in view of the rising number of COVID-19 and seasonal flu-H3N2 cases in the city. The control room will perform telephonic follow-up of any positive patient as well as patients living in home isolation.

The citizens are requested to contact the nearest health center on seeing symptoms like flu (cold, cough, fever) and follow proper COVID-19 guidelines. Rapid Response Teams are being deployed in all zones of Surat Municipal Corporation to ensure people's safety.
