Tumpadevi Deenbandhu Pandey, a 36-year-old mother of three from Bihar, lost her life in a tragic incident at Maruti Mills in Surat. While working on a drum machine used in the mill, her saree got stuck, and she was hit by the machine, causing fatal injuries. Tumpadevi had been working in the mill for six months and was responsible for unwinding the cloth from the drum machine.

Brother recounts the accident

According to her brother Rohit, Tumpadevi got trapped in the machine along with her saree's end, which led to her death. She was rushed to the Civil Hospital immediately, but the doctors declared her brought dead. The three children of Tumpadevi have lost their mother's shadow, and the family is in mourning.

Investigation underway

Upon receiving the information, the Pandesara police reached the spot and began the investigation. A case of accidental death has been registered, and the police are looking into the matter. The tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety measures in workplaces to avoid such accidents in the future.
