Veer Narmad University Cracks Down on Mass Copying, Punishes 46 Students

Surat : Veer Narmad University has taken strict action against 46 students who were caught cheating during the ATKT exams for B.Com, BA, and B.Sc. courses. Cases of mass copying were detected in DRB College, where 34 students were caught simultaneously writing answers using Micro Xerox.

Chancellor Kishore Singh Chavda said that the university has taken the matter very seriously and that the college's negligence in this case is unacceptable. He added that the university is committed to upholding academic integrity and will not tolerate any form of cheating.

The examination department of the university has issued a strict notice to the students caught misbehaving, stating that they will not be able to participate in any examination for 3 months and will be fined Rs. 2 thousand if caught again.

The university has also implemented the rule of giving zero marks in that subject to 46 students of DRB College. Apart from this, a fine of Rs. 500 has also been imposed on these students.

In the next few days, after the hearing, the 46 students who have zero marks in that subject may face a penalty. However, keeping in view the future interest of the students, the examination department has given permission to the students to appear in the examination on Friday.

After the case of mass cheating was detected in DRB College, the examination department of the university has sprung into action. The university has immediately appointed the examination superintendent in DRB College and has ordered the principals of all the colleges to allow students to enter the examination hall only after testing.

The university's crackdown on mass copying is a welcome move and is a step in the right direction. It is important to set a strong example against cheating in order to uphold academic integrity and ensure that all students are competing on a level playing field.
