Prem Bahadur Saud, a watchman who lived in Ajanta Apartment, attacked his family members claiming that his dead grandmother had entered his body and asked him to kill them. The injured were immediately rushed to the Civil Hospital of Rajkot, but the daughter, Lakshmi Prem Bahadur Saud, died before receiving treatment. The son, Niyat Prem Bahadur Saud, also passed away during treatment in the evening, while the wife Basanti is undergoing treatment for a neck injury.
Police investigate the accused's claim of possession
The police investigation revealed that the accused, Prem Bahadur Saud, claimed his grandmother had died three to four years ago and entered his body, leading him to commit the crime. Basanti, his wife, spoke to the media about the incident, stating that her husband had injured them while asking to kill them. The accused was arrested by the university police and has been ordered to be held in jail by the court.
