Inauguration of Sandhya Bridge Built at a Cost of ₹74.32 Crore in Rajkot

The new four-lane railway flyover bridge 'Sandhya Bridge' was inaugurated by Gujarat's Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi, providing modern traffic facilities to the city of Rajkot. Constructed by the Rajkot Municipal Corporation at a cost of ₹74.32 crore on Jamnagar Road, the opening of Sandhya Bridge is expected to facilitate faster and smoother commuting for the city's residents, relieving traffic issues for approximately 50,000 vehicles daily.

This railway flyover bridge is 678 meters long and 16.24 meters wide, with a height of 6.25 meters from the railway track. The four-lane bridge will help reduce traffic pressure in the city. During the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi was given a guard of honor.

He then unveiled the plaque and inspected the bridge with senior officials. On this occasion, balloons were released near the bridge to welcome him. The Deputy Chief Minister greeted the citizens and workers present.

Rajkot Mayor Dr. Nehal Shukla was also specially present at the event, along with several public representatives including MP Parsottam Rupala, Rambhai Mokariya, MLA Udaybhai Kangad, Dr. Darshitaben Shah, Rameshbhai Tilala, Deputy Mayor Mrs. Dakshaben Vasani, and Madhavbhai Dave. Additionally, Police Commissioner Brajesh Kumar Jha, Municipal Commissioner Tushar Sumera, District Collector Dr. Om Prakash, and various departmental officials were also present.
