New Delhi, July 8. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is starting his tour of Australia today, where he will participate in the annual leaders summit at the invitation of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

During this visit, which will take place from July 8 to 10 in Melbourne, PM Modi will hold bilateral talks, meet with Australia's Governor-General Sam Mostyn, and address the India-Australia CEO Forum. This visit is considered extremely important for elevating cooperation between the two countries in trade, defense, security, and new technologies. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese warmly welcomed the partnership with India, stating that it is essential for peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.

He highlighted the growing cooperation in trade, security, and technology as beneficial for both countries. This is PM Modi's third visit to Australia in ten years, reflecting the unprecedented acceleration and strategic strengthening of India-Australia relations over the past decade. During his visit, PM Modi will also address a large gathering of the Indian community in Melbourne.

According to India's High Commissioner Nagesh Singh, this visit reflects the growing engagement in clean energy, education, skills, and emerging technologies. There is significant enthusiasm among the Indian community regarding this visit, as seen in the 'Vedic Havan' conducted on Tuesday. This tour is a significant step towards further strengthening the deep economic and cultural ties between the two countries.
