Surat: The body donation of the late Lakshmiben Mohanbhai Mavani, an inspiring initiative for medical education

The body donation of the late Lakshmiben Mohanbhai Mavani, a resident of Ankleshwar and originally from Bahadarpur village in Bhavnagar district, has been dedicated to Dr. Kiran C. Patel Medical College and Research Institute in Bharuch for the purpose of medical education and research.

The 90-year-old Lakshmiben Mavani's decision has become an inspiring example for society. She was residing in Avkar Society, near the police station, G.I.D.C., Ankleshwar. She was the revered mother of Mavjibhai, Vallabhbhai, and Rajendrabhai Mavani (Quolitron Chemicals, Om Chemitech, and N.K. Jewels).

Family members stated that her last wish was to donate her body for the benefit of society. In honoring this sacred sentiment and resolve, the family dedicated her mortal remains for medical education and research. Family members present included Mavjibhai Mohanbhai Mavani, Vallabhbhai Mohanbhai Mavani, Rajendrabhai Mohanbhai Mavani, Pratik Mavjibhai Mavani, Nilesh Vallabhbhai Mavani, Nisarg Mavjibhai Mavani, and Rishi Rajendrabhai Mavani.

A heartfelt tribute was paid to the late Lakshmiben Mavani by the Mavani family, Ankleshwar Patel Samaj, Dineshbhai Jogani (Lok Drishti Chikitsabank, Surat), and Dr. Prafulbhai Shiroya, Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society Choryasi branch, along with Kanaiyalal Mavani Aadhar Divyang Trust, Surat. Social workers described this as an exemplary contribution to human service and the medical field, stating that such decisions provide new direction to awareness and service spirit in society.
