Helicopter en route from Surat to Mumbai makes emergency landing near Navsari

A helicopter flying from Surat Airport to Juhu Airport in Mumbai made a safe emergency landing near Bhata village in Navsari district due to a technical malfunction. There are no reports of injuries to any passengers or crew members.

According to the information received, the helicopter VT-NIR took off from Surat Airport at approximately 10:11 AM on May 13, 2026, with two crew members and three passengers on board. When a technical issue arose during the flight, the pilot made a precautionary safe emergency landing near Bhata village in Navsari. Timely actions prevented a major accident.

According to officials, all passengers and crew members are completely safe and no one has sustained any injuries. Following the incident, a team of technical experts arrived at the site and began inspecting the helicopter. Currently, necessary actions are being taken at both technical and administrative levels by the relevant department.
