Surat: State-level Cooperative Trainer Training Program Concludes, Experts Share Modern Cooperative Insights

A three-day 'Trainer Training Program' for state cooperative education trainers was organized by the Gujarat State Cooperative Union from May 6 to 8 at the Shri Dago Patel Cooperative Management Center located at Kamrej Char Rasta in Surat district. The program was inaugurated by Ghanshyambhai Amin, President of the Gujarat State Cooperative Union, along with Minister Bhikhu Bhai Patel and Arvindbhai Tagadia.

They provided guidance to the trainees regarding the current challenges and opportunities in the cooperative sector. During the program, several experts from the cooperative and banking sectors shared detailed information on various topics. Banking expert R.P.

Rawal, advisor to the Bharuch District Cooperative Bank, and J.V. Shah, CEO of the Gujarat Urban Bank Federation, along with several cooperative officials, provided training on cooperative management, administrative systems, and modern banking systems. The closing ceremony was attended by P.B.

Dhakecha, a former cooperative trainer of the state cooperative union and founding president of the Varachha Cooperative Bank. He was joined by former joint registrar J.J. Shah, Mahavir Singh, CEO of the Surat District Cooperative Bank, R.C.

Patel from Sumul Dairy, Sunilbhai Patel, manager of the CD department, and former general manager Manibhai Patel, who also participated and provided necessary guidance on various topics. In his address, P.B. Dhakecha emphasized that working in cooperative activities is a sacred service, as cooperative institutions work for the bright future of society and people.

He stated that every inspector and trainer should reach out to the primary cooperative societies in villages to inform members, committee officials, and managers about cooperative laws, administrative processes, and management systems. He also stressed the importance of raising awareness among youth and new members about the benefits of joining the cooperative sector and called for maximizing the use of modern technology and available facilities to empower cooperative institutions further.

Former joint registrar J.J. Shah provided detailed information on cooperative laws and urged village-level ministers and managers to play an active role in the effective implementation of these laws.
