Surat: Relief from Severe Heat: Launch of 'Pani Ki Parab' by Red Cross in Surat
In view of the severe heat, the Red Cross Society, under the guidance of the Gujarat state, launched 'Pani Ki Parab' (Water Service) in Surat. The initiative aims to provide relief to the public during the hot weather.
This service has been initiated through various district and taluka branches of the Gujarat Red Cross Society, led by Ajaybhai Patel, to establish Red Cross as a leading organization in Gujarat and across the country. This free water service will continue for the next three months. Water service centers have been established in several locations in Surat city, including Surat, Bardoli, and Mandvi.
Specifically, the service was inaugurated today on Phulpada Bus Station Road, where cold water is being provided to passersby and those in need. The event was attended by Dr. Prafullbhai Shiroya, Chairman of the Red Cross Society Choryasi branch, along with other dignitaries who praised this humanitarian initiative and conveyed their best wishes.
