SURAT - The forthcoming Divya Darbar of Baba Bageshwar Dham in Surat, Gujarat, has the city abuzz with preparations. Spiritual leader Dhirendra Shastri, the face of Bageshwar Dham, is expected to grace the event on May 26 and 27, and local devotees are gearing up to welcome him.
Famed as Gujarat's financial hub, Surat, the city of diamonds and textiles, is anticipating an estimated attendance of two lakh people at the Divya Darbar. The event will unfold at Nilgiri Maidan, located in the Limbayat assembly constituency of the city.
A highlight of the event is the specially commissioned silver mace, set to be presented to Dhirendra Shastri. The mace, revered as the favorite weapon of Balaji Hanumanji Maharaj, has been prepared by Sanwarmal Budhia, the owner of the Saket Group, as a gesture of honor and welcome.
The presentation of the mace, which will take place at the Surat Durbar, will be conducted by BJP President CR Patil. A sumptuous blend of spirituality and craftsmanship, the mace has been crafted by esteemed jewelers D. Khushaldas of Surat, carrying a price tag of 1.25 lakh rupees.
The exquisite piece, which weighs 1 kg 161 grams, required the meticulous work of five artisans over 15 days. Demonstrating remarkable craftsmanship, the mace was delivered to Budhia today and is set to be presented to Dhirendra Shastri during the Divya Darbar on May 26 and 27.
