Vadodara Observes ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ Day with Empowerment and Awareness Initiatives under Nari Vandana Week

As part of the ongoing Nari Vandana Week 2025, the Women and Child Development Department organized a series of events on August 2 in Vadodara district, centered around the theme "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao." The programs emphasized women's empowerment, child rights, and health awareness.

At S.D. Patel School on Ajwa Road in Vadodara, a special awareness session was held for around 130 girl students. Topics covered included the POCSO Act, good touch and bad touch, child rights, and the prohibition of child marriage. Representatives from the Women and Child Development Office, along with the school principal, educated the students on their legal rights and available protections.

In a parallel event at the Janseva Office in Janakpuri Society, Padra Taluka, local MLA Chaitanyasinh Zala distributed approval letters to 120 beneficiaries under the Vhali Dikri Yojana. He also spoke about women-centric schemes, including welfare initiatives, educational assistance, and safety measures aimed at supporting women’s rights and development.

Meanwhile, the District Health Officer’s office observed Breastfeeding Day. The program highlighted the importance of maternal and child nutrition and health, particularly for breastfeeding mothers and newborns. It aimed to promote healthy habits and awareness around maternal care.

As per report, the second day of Nari Vandana Week in Vadodara concluded successfully, reinforcing the commitment to women’s empowerment, education for girls, and health consciousness across the community.
