Gotri-Sevasi-Sinharot Highway Undergoes Durable Upgrade with White Topping Technology
Vadodara, July 15 – The vital Gotri-Sevasi-Sinharot State Highway, which serves as a key link between Vadodara and Anand districts, is undergoing a major transformation with modern and sustainable infrastructure improvements. Out of the total 7.4 kilometers of this route, 5.95 kilometers are being reconstructed using the white topping technique, converting the road surface into a robust cement concrete (CC) layer. As per agency report, nearly 96 percent of the work has already been completed.
This section of the highway has historically suffered damage during the monsoon season due to frequent waterlogging, causing significant inconvenience to pedestrians and vehicle operators alike. To resolve this persistent issue, the government approved the implementation of white topping technology, known for its durability and low maintenance. The redevelopment includes a 1.95-kilometer stretch widened to 14 meters and another 4 kilometers developed to 10 meters in width.
Construction agencies have stated that the remaining work is expected to be completed by the scheduled deadline of August 1, 2025. Once finished, the upgraded road is expected to ease travel, improve traffic flow, and reduce transportation time and fuel consumption.
White topping technology provides a more resilient surface that requires minimal repairs over time, enhancing the driving experience while also cutting down on long-term maintenance costs. Upon full completion, the project is set to significantly strengthen connectivity and economic interactions between Vadodara and Anand districts. For local residents, the modernized highway will offer a smoother, safer, and more efficient travel route.
