Surat to Host ‘Smart Education Expo 2025’ and ‘Startup Summit 2025’ from April 11

Surat is set to witness a major confluence of education and innovation as the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) organizes the 'Smart Education Expo – 2025' and 'Surat Startup Summit – 2025' from April 11 to 13. The event will be held at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre (SIECC), Sarsana, from 10 AM to 7 PM daily.

The primary aim of the event is to connect the youth with quality global education opportunities and strengthen the city's startup ecosystem. SGCCI President Vijay Mewawala emphasized that while industries drive economic growth, innovation and progress in the education sector are equally crucial for holistic societal development.

The Smart Education Expo is designed to introduce citizens to digital learning tools, advanced academic programs, and innovative teaching methodologies. Representatives from national and international universities will interact directly with students and parents. Over 32 institutions are expected to participate, including Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Public Universities, P.P. Savani University, Auro University, Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Sigma University, and the Brits Imperial University (UAE), among others. Visitors will gain insights into international admissions, visa procedures, and accommodation options abroad.

As per agency report, the Surat Startup Summit 2025 will focus on emerging sectors such as IT, cybersecurity, automation, digital platforms, logistics, innovative education, and banking. The summit aims to provide a dynamic platform for young entrepreneurs, startup founders, and investors to engage in productive dialogue and collaboration.

The event will be inaugurated on April 11 at 10 AM, with Gujarat’s Education Minister Prafulbhai Pansheriya as the chief guest. Also in attendance will be Gujarat Industries Commissioner P. Swaroop (IAS) and Bharat Shah, President of the Public Education Society, as special guests.

Several key figures from SGCCI, including Vice President Nikhil Madrasi, former President Ramesh Vaghasia, Honorary Secretary Nirav Mandalewala, Treasurer Mrunal Shukla, Expo Chairman Mahesh Pamnani, Startup Summit Chairman CA Mayank Desai, and Co-Chairmen Amit Shah and Punit Gajera will also be present.

This combined event marks a significant step toward positioning Surat as a hub for global education and innovation, offering new pathways and opportunities for the youth of the city.
