Adhatia Kapada Association Surat Announces Elections for 2025-2029 Term
The prestigious Adhatia Kapada Association in Surat has officially announced the schedule for its upcoming elections. Nomination forms for 11 positions on the 21-member board will be available from April 8 to April 12 between 11 AM and 6 PM at the association’s office.
According to association head Prahlad Agrawal, any of the over 450 registered members are eligible to contest for the available seats. The nomination forms can be submitted from April 12 to April 14, and the list of candidates will be released on April 15 following scrutiny. The final date for withdrawal of nominations is April 16 by 6 PM, after which the finalized list will be displayed at the association office.
The election process will be supervised by Chief Election Officer Bajrang Lal Godadia and Assistant Election Officer Girish Mittal. If voting becomes necessary, the election will take place on April 26 from 1 PM to 4 PM at the association’s office located at 205, The Rajhans Imperia, Ring Road, Surat. Counting of votes will begin at 4 PM on the same day, with the results declared shortly thereafter.
The elected members will serve a four-year term from 2025 to 2029. Each member is required to cast exactly 11 votes; ballots with fewer or additional votes will be considered invalid. The nomination fee has been set at Rs. 500, along with a membership list fee of Rs. 500. A mandatory deposit of Rs. 10,000 must be submitted with the form, which will be refunded upon winning. If a candidate withdraws by April 11, the entire deposit amount will be refunded.
The association has reaffirmed its commitment to conducting the elections in a cordial and transparent manner.
