PM Modi to Inaugurate 'Karmayogi Week' – National Learning Week in New Delhi
Aiming to Foster Civil Service Skills and Promote Lifelong Learning
New Delhi, October 18 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ‘Karmayogi Week’ – National Learning Week (NLW) at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in Delhi on Saturday at around 10:30 AM.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) on Friday, the Mission Karmayogi initiative, launched in September 2020, has made significant strides since its inception. The mission envisions a future-ready civil service, rooted in Indian ethos with a global outlook.
The NLW will be the largest event of its kind, aimed at fostering individual and organizational capacity development among civil servants. It will inspire a renewed commitment to learning and development. The NLW aims to promote the message of a unified "One Government," aligning all efforts towards national goals, and advocating for lifelong learning.
Throughout NLW, participants, including individual civil servants, ministries, departments, and organizations, will engage in various forms of learning. Every Karmayogi will commit to completing at least 4 hours of competency-based education. This can be achieved through role-based modules on iGOT or through a mix of webinars, public lectures, and policy masterclasses delivered by distinguished individuals.
Throughout the week, prominent speakers will address key topics to help civil servants enhance citizen-centric service delivery. In addition, ministries, departments, and organizations will host seminars and workshops to enhance domain-specific competencies.
