PM Modi Targets RJD and Congress in Siwan Rally, Credits NDA for Bihar’s Development
Siwan, June 20 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public rally in Siwan, launched a sharp attack on the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), accusing them of pushing Bihar into poverty and lawlessness during their rule. He asserted that the people of Bihar had ended the "jungle raj" established under their governance and would not allow such forces to return.
The Prime Minister criticized the RJD for allegedly disrespecting Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, stating that the people of Bihar, particularly the Dalit community, would never tolerate such an insult to their icon. He claimed that RJD and Congress were responsible for the mass migration of laborers and the persistent poverty that plagued the state for decades.
Modi alleged that the governance model of both parties focused on enriching their own families while ignoring the basic needs of the people. He further remarked that during the Congress’s license raj era, party leaders prospered while the common citizen remained impoverished.
Referring to his own admiration for Ambedkar, Modi said the opposition keeps the image of the Constitution's architect at their feet, while he keeps it close to his heart. He emphasized that the NDA believed in inclusive development, whereas the opposition parties focused solely on family-centric politics.
As per agency report, Modi warned that the RJD and Congress, who were responsible for Bihar’s painful past, are once again eyeing a return to power. He expressed confidence that the people of Bihar would reject them in the upcoming assembly elections.
Highlighting the achievements of the NDA government in Bihar, Modi claimed that the state had witnessed significant infrastructure growth in recent years. He noted that under NDA’s tenure, over 55,000 kilometers of rural roads were constructed, electricity was delivered to more than 1.5 crore households, and piped water was supplied to 26 crore people across the region.
Modi concluded by saying that India’s development journey is being recognized globally. He mentioned that during his recent foreign visit, several world leaders had praised India’s progress.
