Surat City Congress pushes for direct flights between Surat and Varanasi

In a potentially significant development for the North Indian community in Surat, the city's Congress president Dhanasukh Rajput has led a delegation to meet with Surat Airport Director Virendra Solanki, proposing the launch of direct flights between Surat and Varanasi. The request, formalized through a memorandum, highlights the high demand for this route due to the substantial number of North Indians residing in Surat for whom traveling to Varanasi is of great significance.

The memorandum argues that the initiation of a direct flight service would not only provide convenience to this large community but also boost passenger traffic at Surat Airport. In response, Virendra Solanki assured the delegation that the request will be taken into serious consideration and positive steps towards this initiative can be expected soon.

Additionally, the delegation addressed the difficulties faced by auto-rickshaw drivers at Surat Airport, submitting another memorandum to resolve these issues. The airport authorities have forwarded this concern to higher officials, with a resolution anticipated in the near future.

This initiative reflects the ongoing efforts to enhance connectivity and address the commuting needs of Surat's diverse population, potentially making travel more accessible and efficient for everyone involved.
