Yarn Expo 2024 Sees High Engagement and Promising Future

The three-day Yarn Expo 2024, organized by the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce, concluded successfully on Sunday. The expo attracted entrepreneurs from Surat’s renowned textile industry and various cities across the country and abroad.

The event witnessed a massive turnout, especially on the last day, where the stalls were bustling with eager entrepreneurs. Stallholders expressed delight with the expo's success and the promising business opportunities ahead. Surat MP Mukesh Dalal, along with the chamber team, inspected various stalls, appreciating the diversity of yarn products on display.

Vipinbhai Goyani and Nevilbhai from Bhumi Fancy Yarn in Kosad, Surat, highlighted their production of over 250 types of yarn, ranging from sequence and capsule yarn to zari kasab and digital yarn, priced between 250 to 1300 rupees per kg. Their yarns, primarily used in dupattas and children's wear, are supplied to major cities like Ichhalkaranji, Ludhiana, and Delhi.

Rishi Goyal of GK Cotsley Private Limited shared that their recycled yarn, priced between 60-160 rupees per kg, has a steady demand in markets like Tirupur, Erode, and Bhilwara. He praised the expo for generating significant orders.

Sunil Patil of Manohar Capital Markets Limited discussed their extensive range of 100 yarn types, with prices ranging from 125 to 700 rupees per kg.

Rajesh Goyal, Director of Shiv Shakti Synthetic, noted the expo's success, indicating Surat's potential to become a garment hub. He mentioned plans for the Surat Textiles Bourse, akin to the Hira Bourse, and the expected establishment of 600 new garment industries by 2027, promising a bright industrial future for Surat.
