SMA Hosts Grand Sawan Event and Women's Honor Ceremony

On Sunday morning at 10:30 am, Surat Mercantile Association (SMA) held a grand event, Sawan Ki Goth and Nari Samman Samaroh, at Maa Vaishno Shakti Dham. The event saw the participation of 228 members and their families.

The program began with SMA head Narendra Saboo presenting a review of the association's work over the last four years. He highlighted that SMA has been dedicated to resolving traders' business and social issues, offering free and selfless solutions.

A free eye checkup camp was organized in collaboration with ASG Eye Hospital. A total of 115 members benefited from this service.

Women who provided outstanding social and business services were honored at the ceremony. The honorees included Mrs. Hemali Bodhawala (former Mayor), Mrs. Bimla Devi Saboo (former President, All India Maheshwari Women’s Society), social worker Mrs. Kavita Dubey, Mrs. Suniti Karva, Director of Meena Dance Academy Mrs. Meena, Agarwal Academic Tuition Coach Mrs. Kavita Saboo, and founder of Luthra Group Mrs. Sharda Luthra.

The honored women shared their insights and success mantras, emphasizing family support, timely marriage, learning from children, maintaining passion, and learning from others' experiences. They noted:

Keynote speaker Mrs. Bimla Devi Saboo highlighted the importance of family harmony before engaging in social and national service. She pointed out that families are breaking due to a lack of tolerance and ego. She urged everyone to spend quality time with children and elders to strengthen family unity, which in turn strengthens society and the nation.

The event was attended by numerous city dignitaries, including Ashok Goyal, Surendra Agarwal, Durgesh Tibdewal, Mahesh Patodiya, Rajkumar Chiraniya, Hemant Goyal, Rajesh Gurnani, Sanjay Agarwal, Basant Maheshwari, Sandeep Agarwal, Rajendra Kanodia, Kamlesh Jain, Gaurav Bhasin, Jitendra Surana, and Ghanshyam Maheshwari.

Narendra Saboo emphasized that SMA has been resolving business and social issues of merchants without any membership charges for the past four years. This ensures that even the smallest merchants can join without financial burden. SMA provides a unique platform where merchants can bring their problems every week and receive free, selfless assistance.

Bimaladevi Saboo on the Importance of Timely Marriage

In her address, Bimla Devi Saboo reiterated the need for family harmony before social and national service. She noted that a lack of tolerance and ego is causing family breakdowns and emphasized the importance of utilizing elders' experience. She encouraged strengthening family unity by spending time with children and elders. She credited her family’s support for her success and highlighted the importance of marrying at the right age, learning from children, having at least two children, and pursuing one's passion consistently.
