Led by Federation President Nitin Bang and Secretary Rajesh Mindolia, the delegation arrived in Surat on May 9. The main objective of the tour was to inform members about modern industries, technology, and business systems. On this occasion, the Chamber's President Nikhil Madrasi stated that Surat has become a dynamic industrial center in the country and such study tours play a significant role in strengthening economic and trade relations between Gujarat and Maharashtra.
He mentioned that the management model of Surat's modern textile and diamond industry could serve as an inspiration for traders from other states. The delegation also visited the Wealth Expo 2026 held in Sarsana on May 9 and 10, where they were informed about modern investments, private equity funding, and startup models. Additionally, members studied technical education and research activities at SVNIT.
Business representatives closely observed the modern production processes and business management systems at Surat's renowned SRK Diamond and Suchitra Dyeing Mill. The delegation appreciated the functioning of these institutions. During the tour, the delegation also met with Union Minister of Jal Shakti C.R. Patil, where discussions took place regarding industrial development, water management, and dam projects in Dhule.
At the conclusion of the tour, the Federation officials stated that such study tours provide entrepreneurs and traders with new ideas and modern perspectives. They expressed hope that this initiative would further strengthen industrial cooperation and business integration between Gujarat and Maharashtra.
