During the monsoon season, incidents of snakes entering homes are often reported. The latest case is from Isroli village in Bardoli taluk of Surat district, where a family panicked this morning upon discovering a poisonous cobra snake in their toilet.

Amitbhai Chaudhary, the homeowner, recounted the incident, saying he spotted the snake early in the morning. Fearful for his family's safety, he immediately contacted Jatin Rathod, president of the Bardoli Friends of Animals Team. Team member Vipul Parekh arrived promptly and identified the snake as a four-foot-long poisonous cobra.

After about an hour of careful effort, Vipul Parekh and his team safely captured the cobra and released it into the forest. This incident has heightened fears among the local residents, who are now extra cautious even when using their toilets.

The rainy season typically sees an increase in snake sightings in homes. Residents are advised to maintain cleanliness around their houses and to call a snake rescuer immediately if a snake is spotted.

This incident serves as a reminder to remain vigilant during the monsoon season to avoid similar encounters.
