Surat: A tragic incident has shaken the city of Surat, as a two-and-a-half-year-old child drowned in a 20-liter water drum in the Godadara area. The case has become a topic of discussion across the city, with the child's parents seen crying bitterly upon discovering the lifeless body.

The child, whose father Santoshbhai has been residing in Kalpana Society for the past three to four years, went missing last night around 7 o'clock. During a power outage, the child disappeared, prompting the parents and relatives to search the surrounding areas throughout the night. The child was eventually found in a water drum near the family's doorstep.

Santoshbhai, a Panipuri businessman in Surat and a native of Madhya Pradesh, says that his son, Rudra, went missing the previous night. In the morning, when his wife went to collect water from the drum in front of their house, she discovered the child's slippers nearby and found his body inside the drum. Surprisingly, the drum contained only 8 liters of water and was relatively tall, raising questions about how the child fell inside.

Santoshbhai, the grieving father, stated, "We don't suspect anyone." He explained that they were unaware of how Rudra fell into the water drum and only discovered the tragedy at 5:00 am when his wife went to collect water. The family remains devastated and seeks answers about the circumstances surrounding their child's untimely death.
