On Friday afternoon, a sudden fire broke out in a clothes shop named "Salon Chopati Fashion" in Surat's famous Chauta Bazaar. The blaze, caused by a short circuit, started on the upper floor of the shop. The flames quickly spread, causing panic among the nearby crowd.

As soon as the fire was reported, three fire brigade vehicles rushed to the scene. Firefighters managed to control the blaze within an hour, using water to douse the flames. Despite the heavy crowd and the presence of a Jewish center and a fast-food shop on the ground floor, no injuries or casualties occurred.
