Bodies of 6 Recovered from Pune's Ujani Reservoir After 36-Hour Search

Pune – The bodies of six individuals who drowned in the Ujani reservoir in Indapur, Pune district, were recovered by the NDRF team on Thursday morning. The victims have been sent to the government hospital in Indapur for post-mortem examinations.

The tragedy occurred on Tuesday evening when a boat carrying seven people capsized in the Bhima River due to heavy stormy rain. One policeman managed to swim to safety, while the NDRF and SDRF teams commenced a search for the remaining six individuals.

After a relentless 36-hour search operation, all six bodies were located in the Ujani reservoir. The NDRF team successfully recovered and handed the bodies over to the police.

The victims have been identified as Gokul Dattatraya Jadhav (30), Komal Dattatraya Jadhav (25), Shubham Gokul Jadhav (1.5), Mahi Gokul Jadhav (3), Anurag Dhikaye (35), and Gaurav Dhananjay Dongre (16). The community mourns the loss of these lives, as the investigation into the incident continues.
