Surat Police arrested a thief, Ramkesh Sudadam, who stole jewelry and cash worth Rs 7.20 lakh from a house in Bhatar Road area. The thief, tracked to the hilly area of Chitrakoot in Uttar Pradesh, was caught, and the stolen items were recovered.

Surat Police have successfully apprehended a thief, Ramkesh Sudadam, who had stolen jewelry and cash totaling Rs 7.20 lakh from a house in the Bhatar Road area. The thief was traced to the hilly region of Chitrakoot in Uttar Pradesh, where he was arrested, and the stolen items were recovered.

The incident unfolded when Mahendra Rathi, a 45-year-old resident of Surat, reported the theft from his residence in Kabir Nikunj Society. Mahendra's elder brother, Mahavir, and his wife, Suman, were out of town, providing the thief with an opportunity to commit the theft. Ramkesh, who worked as a servant in the house, took advantage of their absence, stole the valuables, and fled to Uttar Pradesh.

Upon discovering the theft, the victims filed a complaint with the local Khatodara police. With the help of technical surveillance, the police were able to track the thief's location to Chitrakoot. After two days of tracking, the police apprehended Ramkesh and recovered the stolen goods.

Ramkesh's arrest and the recovery of the stolen items mark a significant success for the Surat Police in combating crime and ensuring the safety of the residents.
