Modi Accuses Opposition of Spreading Rumors on Reservation and Constitution

Raipur/Janjgir Champa, 23 April - Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at a rally in Janjgir-Champa, Chhattisgarh, accused the opposition alliance of spreading false rumors about abolishing reservation and changing the Constitution. He asserted that neither he nor the BJP had any intention of altering the Constitution, even if urged by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar himself. Modi emphasized that votes for the opposition alliance would not secure a government at the center, whereas support for the BJP would lead India towards development.

Modi criticized the Congress, stating that for 60 years, the same family either directly or indirectly controlled the government, focusing primarily on self-enrichment. He contrasted this with his own governance, highlighting his consistent work ethic and dedication to the nation's progress, pulling 25 crore people out of poverty in the past decade.

Highlighting the BJP's ideology of inclusive growth, Modi condemned Congress for divisive politics based on religion and accused them of appeasement. He emphasized BJP's commitment to the welfare of all sections of society, including Dalits, backward classes, and tribals, contrasting it with what he described as Congress's vote bank politics.

Modi also announced initiatives aimed at empowering women, such as the Namo Drone Didi scheme, which trains tribal women as drone pilots, and the Mahtari scheme in Chhattisgarh, providing direct financial assistance to women. He promised to make three crore women "Lakhpati Didi" and highlighted the BJP's efforts to promote education in local languages and provide constitutional status to the OBC Commission.

The rally was attended by top BJP officials, including Chief Minister Vishnudev, who also addressed the gathering, echoing Modi's sentiments.
