Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Embark on State Visit to Bhutan

New Delhi, March 20 - Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a state visit to Bhutan on 21-22 March, reinforcing the strong ties between the two countries and underscoring India's commitment to its Neighborhood First policy.

The visit, in line with the tradition of regular high-level exchanges between India and Bhutan, will see Prime Minister Modi meeting with King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan and Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the fourth King of Bhutan. Additionally, discussions are planned with Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay.

A statement from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) highlighted the unique and enduring partnership between India and Bhutan, characterized by mutual trust, understanding, and goodwill. The shared spiritual heritage and warm people-to-people ties add depth and vibrancy to the relationship.
